Let's Get It Started!
Class of 2019 Certified Nurse Assistant Students
Even though school resumed in August and the Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) Students have been learning a great deal in the classroom, their training program comes to full fruition as they move from an all-theory environment to a theory and clinical environment.
This is all thanks to the Manteno Veterans Home, their fine administration and staff working in tandem with the C.N.A. Clinical Instructors and Supervisors. Special thanks to George Learned, R.N., Veterans' Home Education Coordinator for presenting students with an informative orientation today. Students heard first-hand about the Manteno Veterans' Home, expectations and policies needing to be followed.
Accompanying our students on Tuesdays and Thursdays are a great group of Nurses/Clinical Instructors who all received special training and were certified through the Illinois Department of Public Health. Our #TeamKACC for the C.N.A. Program:
Judy Krause, RN
Melinda Luedtke, RN
Quteta Rodgers, RN
Cheryl Kucer, RN
Marla Miller, RN
Melinda Mattox, RN
Lots of organization and coordination happens behind the scenes by both the Manteno Veteran's Home and the KACC C.N.A. teams. They'll all work together to ensure a meaningful series of clinical education at the Manteno Veterans' Home.
