Logan Charbonneau and Jose Cabrera have continued pursuing every opportunity available to them through the SkillsUSA program. Jose was even voted as the Presiding Selected Officer!

This time, they traveled to Springfield to the Illinois Coordinating Counsel for Career & Technical Student Organizations's (ICCTSO) leadership training program July 14th through 16th.  This three-day leadership training occurs every summer for state officers of a variety of CTSO's, including SkillsUSA.

Logan and Jose had won first place at State SkillsUSA this year, traveled to the National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. These two fine men were still hungry to learn and develop their leadership skills.  They took advantage of this great opportunity.

Jose described his experience: "Throughout the couple of days...we felt like we knew everyone...like we knew each other for years.  It was such a good time.  We went to the State Capital and did some mock debates.  It was a new experience I will never forget.  I met so many new friends and leaders from other CTSO's.  I am honored and thankful for so many people there because they have voted me the Presiding Selected Officer. It was such a wonderful time....thank you for allowing me to be there."
