Construction Technology Program Information

KACC's Construction Technology students will learn to verify customer concerns, diagnose problems, and properly repair vehicles. Students will learn simple skills like oil changes and light repairs to the more complicated electronic diagnosis and drivability areas.

Students apply their classroom learnings to our full-service Automotive Lab, experiencing the day-to-day responsibilities of a Technician. Students also learn computer-based shop manuals, critical thinking, and traditional mechanical skills. Class time is approximately 50% in the classroom and 50% in the full-service auto shop.

Nail apron (cloth acceptable)

16 oz. claw hammer with an unbreakable handle

Safety glasses (first pair provided)

Appropriate work clothing: no rips, holes, tears, or frays. Clothing must also fit properly. Baggy clothes will not be permitted.

Cold-weather clothing, work gloves, and rubber overshoes for mud are also recommended.

OSHA 10-Hour Certification: $25 Fee
