Michael Gall, From Student to Teacher
Welding Technology Instructor
Michael Gall comes to KACC's Welding Technology Program with a wealth of experience and expertise when it comes to the welding technology field.
Mr. Gall brings twenty years of experience in the welding field, working in a wide variety of settings. He has worked in construction, hanging steel, as well as in a fabrication shop, working in concert with machining, fabricating, structural steel. While working in an oil refinery Mr. Gall served as a pipe fitter/welder as well as a boiler maker and fabricator. Mr. Gall also performed roll forming and worked on welding tanks and vessels as well as pressure vessels (Pressure vessels are vessels that can contain high levels of pressure as part of a process, used for things such as steam or liquids and/or gasses kept or processed under pressure) He also has experience working in the heavy equipment field functioning as a welder as well as an operator.
Mr. Gall is certified through the American Welding Society with an AWS D1.1 and 1.4 certifications. He has welding certifications for pipe fitting in exotic metals.
All this experience led Mr. Gall right back to where he started welding – in high school. Born and raised in Momence, Mr. Gall is actually a KACC Welding Technology alumn from 1993. Mr. Gall takes over the program from his former teacher, Michael Spangler.
Mr. Gall even took time personally to come to KACC, spending time with Mr. Spangler and students during his last few months of teaching. This way, Mr. Gall could glean – once more – from Mr. Spangler’s teaching.
From Student – To Teacher! KACC is delighted to welcome Michael Gall back to KACC as our Welding Technology Instructor.
