Auto Technology and Electricity
Nate Gibson from Manteno High School
KACC's Auto Technology program teaches a wide array of skill sets when it comes to automotive repair.
Today, Nate Gibson, an Auto Tech student from Manteno High School, created electrical diagrams on paper. He, and other students like him, then colored their diagram as it is a working diagram.
If you are curious as to why colors are important to his drawing of the diagram and the project - they are
- Red 12v continuous
- Orange 12v switched
- Yellow ground switched
- Green ground continuous
From those drawings, Nate constructed the device on the workbench. Mr. Stafford gives the students a mystery device to add to the circuit in a series. When completed, students have built a running lamp and turn-signal circuit.
