Kankakee Community College Welcomes Health Careers Students
Thanks for a Great Day at KCC!
On April 26th, Kankakee Area Career Center's Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Terminology/Basic Health Skills Students were invited to Kankakee Community College to participate in a Healthcare Career Day at KCC.
This full-day event allowed KACC students an opportunity to tour the facility and learn about the excellent educational opportunities within a variety of health care career fields including nursing, respiratory therapy, radiography, physical therapy assistant, medical laboratory technology, paramedic and emergency medical technician.
Not only did students learn about the carries and programs offered, students were introduced to KCC's team of instructors and speak with former KACC students who currently attend KCC as well as area employers.
The day kicked off with a meet and greet in the auditorium with KCC Admissions department. Students were then able to visit all six career programs offered and meet some of our local healthcare employers as they passed from one career area to another.
Following the tours, students and KACC instructors were treated to a luncheon provided by the college. The lunch gave students an opportunity to talk with their peers about their career goals. The day ended with the opportunity for students to ask questions to a panel of local employers. It was a great way to wrap up a wonderful day.KACC CNA Instructors were grateful to KCC and their fantastic health careers faculty for an incredible day at Kankakee Community College.
